Cosmo Burger Leaves Lenexa For The Crossroads
Cosmo Burger, one of KC’s top burger spots, is leaving the Lenexa Public Market to open in the Crossroads.
Cosmo has been a beloved addition to KC’s food scene since it came on the scene in 2020, and we are partial to it as we dubbed it one of KC’s best restaurants in January and, more recently, one of KC’s best smashburgers. Cosmo Burger Chef and Owner Jacob Kruger began selling his burgers out of Waldo’s Dodson’s bar and eventually expanded to Lenexa Public Market in 2022.
Cosmo will officially close in the Lenexa market on April 19. A press release teases a Crossroads move but gives no specific details as to the location or opening date.
“To bridge the transition for staff and guests, Cosmo Burger will offer pop-up lunch service at its Waldo location inside Dodson’s Bar & Commons (7438 Wornall Rd, KCMO) beginning April 20,” the press release states.
A recent Instagram post in collaboration with Centric Construction details the renovations taking place for the new locale.
“We are currently working on the roof and adding insulation to make sure everything meets code. Materials for the storefront have been measured and ordered, and we can’t wait to see the exterior take shape! Inside, we’re making good progress on the walls, plumbing, and electrical. Things are moving fast, so stay tuned for more sneak peeks of this exciting project,” the post states.
